Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T50 Camera Review
The Sony DSC T50 is a pocket sized digital camera with a touch screen. The camera is seven megapixels and has a three times optical zoom lens with the image stabilisation technique. As far as price is concerned it is slightly steep.
The image quality in this camera is excellent and it, manages to produce vivid photos.
Outdoor scenic photography is a major plus point of DSC T50. Several features of this camera help to produce high quality photos and these include colours and the lighting. In this camera a good point is that the colours have just the right amount of depth to them. As far as brightness is concerned the photos look a shade lighter than normal as the camera makes the most of the available light. The camera handles excellently the glare from the sun. With DSC T50 the sun glare is handled well and none of the detail is lost.
In terms of sharpness the quality of images produced in this camera is roughly average. DSC T50 does not produce sharp images and also the outdoor portraits are not great. The camera has no problem with focussing. The major problem in this camera is this photo is red eye. In this camera the lens is placed right next to the flash unit and hence the red eye is caused by flash bouncing off the eye, back into the lens. The camera is great to be used in very strong in lowlight situations.
As far as the macro shot is concerned it is a bright and clear shot. However if you plan to specialise in close up photography this camera is not for you. However the camera is certainly capable of taking a decent close up shot when required. In this camera the picture deterioration is noticeable at ISO 400 and increases as you increase the ISO settings.
The key features of this model are the 3x optical zoom lens that has a focal length equivalent to 38 - 114mm in 35mm format. As the resolution is lowered you can avail the Smart Zoom and can also increase the zoom available to a maximum of 14x. A significant point to note that there is a 2x digital zoom available when smart zoom is not being used.
The LCD screen is a large 3″ in size as well as composed of around 230,000 pixels.
The camera is a great model to buy.
